“Then I see one sweetheart tree standing a little bit apart from all the others, — And to me Lisey, that tree looked… kind.”

“as I got closer to it, I realized that this one tree, at least, smelled as sweet- or almost as sweet- at night as it did in the daytime. That’s the tree you’re sitting under now, little Lisey, if you’re reading this last story.”

Lisey’s now reading the last story Scott has written, not for his audience, but for his little Lisey his Babyluv. Scott tells her how he killed his dad. How hard it is for him to do it. (He’s just a ten-year-old kid)

Mr. King really did a great job on this novel. He knows how to make his readers feel scared, touched, sad, and happy too. *salute* :)

Here’s the last part of Scott’s story, “Lisey’s Story”:

“Babyluv: If you need an anchor to  hold your place in the world- not Boo’ya Moon but the one we shared, use the african. You know how to get it back. Kisses- at least a thousand,

Scott

P.S. Everything the same. I love you.”

Scott wanted Lisey to have a normal life, he does not want her to go to Boo’ya Moon again, he just wants his little Lisey to continue her life normally in the real world, the world where He and Lisey met and shared.

This book left me with the thought that no matter how hard, we all need to go on with our lives. We need to move on. But we can always treasure moments that made us happy. These things can help us smile or cry which can sometimes makes us feel good inside.

“She had come to believe that the very things the practical world dismissed as ephemera-things like songs and moonlight and kisses- were sometimes the things that lasted the longest. They might be foolish, but they defied forgetting.”

Yes, the most of the people around this world only treasure things like money, jewelries, cars. But what they do not know is, those small things, those small deeds “defied forgetting” because those are sincere and heartfelt which money cannot buy.
